The Home Depot Brooklyn,
NY -2004:

  Renovation: 108k s.f. - 22 Phases - Project Cost: $5.8MM

The store is an existing profit center which is required to operate throughout the renovation   process. Scope includes removal of merchandise, demo of building systems, and fixtures prior to   work on the build back commences. The new construction plan follows an entirely new floor plan   layout. The remodel work includes concrete refinishing (repair and polishing), building systems,   (electrical, sprinkler, lighting, security), racking systems, fixtures, and merchandising.

Pre-planning is key. Careful consideration is given to overlaying the proposed floor plan on the   existing floor plan in CAD, and creating a phased areas renovation which work with seasonal   corporate sales objectives.
