Verizon Wireless
New Orleans, LA - 2005:

  Four (4) retail stores: 9.5k s.f. - Project cost: $1.1MM

Hurricane Katrina and Rita caused a great deal of damage to the New Orleans area. Verizon   Wireless suffered the loss of several stores. An immediate response team mobilized to handle the   clean-up, abatement, temporary sales centers, temporary offices and renovations to get the original   stores back up and running as soon as possible.

All projects required "hands-on" daily attention to mobilize and set temporary sales RV's and tents.   A national reconstruction contractor was used as the primary contractor. Sub contractors were in   New Orleans on a per project or per duration basis. The work included air quality tests and   laboratory tests after the abatement process to certify the space prior to construction. The project   met the client's sales objectives by opening the doors prior to the holidays. Work included   de- merchandising, demolition, abatement steps, renovation work, build-back of displays, and   merchandising.
